in front of the Hospital
[Lithuania finds himself standing outside on badly-made robotic legs, staring at a town he doesn't remember. He'd been told he was in Mayfield, so that must be this, but there's no recognition. He looks down at his hands, just as robotic as his legs, and then at the snow banks. He'll have to move carefully if he wants to get--
Where is he even going? He tells himself the sudden shaking that takes over is just the cold, but he's not sure he believes that. He can see houses; does he have one of those? Which one is it? Is there anyone who would be looking for him? Of course, even if there was he wouldn't recognize them.
Paralyzed by an overwhelming amount of problems and an overwhelming lack of even the most basic sort of knowledge on how to go about solving them, he stands trembling in front of the hospital and listens to the occasional electric pop of his limbs.]

M-maybe... I don't know. Estonia's good with computers, maybe he knows stuff about robotics too...
Y-yeah! He's smart, he'll know what to do!
no subject
[Lithuania winces as he asks; it's probably someone he should know, given how the boy talks about him, but of course it's all a blank. He attempts to remember, but fails entirely.]

[Latvia fidget's awkwardly, wondering what he should say]
You... you don't remember? He lives just next to me, tall with glasses and good with computers. We used to live with you and Poland for a while and then we were all at Russia's house together...
B-but you remember me, right?
[He looks up at him hopefully]

[The guilt in his tone is obvious; he looks away.]
I remember the surgery, but that's all. A girl in the recovery room told me my name.

[Hanging his head he obviously looks hurt]
Are you really sure you don't remember? M-maybe if you just think really hard...

[Lithuania's face pales, his voice fading away. Even more than watching his arms be removed, seeing them take a piece of his mind was the thing he hated most. He couldn't help but think, now, that all his memories had been thrown away with that bit of tissue.]

You must remember! We've known each other for centuries! Y-you were always really patient with me and we got through some difficult times together... I-I know you don't but I always kind of wished you'd consider me like a younger brother...
no subject
I'm r-really... Really sorry. There's--nothing at all. I don't remember anyone.

[Latvia rubs a sleeve across his eyes and tries not to cry. Lithuania was always someone he knew he could rely on and knowing that things like this were happening to him was scary]
Lithuania... I don't... I don't know. What should I do?
no subject
[Lithuania wants to ask for the name of the person he's talking to, but the boy reacted so badly to learning Lithuania didn't recognize him that he's not sure he wants to make things worse.]
I'm sorry...
no subject
J-just... just stay safe, okay?
I don't know. Other people can help better than me...
I really wish you'd remember... but if you can't I guess... I'm Latvia, by the way. I know you don't care but maybe we can still be acquaintances, or something like that.

[He's trying to remember again, chewing on hit lower lip as he does. Still nothing.]
M-maybe it's only temporary.
[Lithuania's shaking, though; he doesn't really know how you recover from what he went through, as far as actually remembering anything goes.]
no subject
Yeah, hopefully...
[Unsure of what the best course of action is to take he just really wants to run away and leave someone else to deal with it]
I don't know where you live but maybe someone else does, you should ask around...
no subject
[That does seem like somewhere to start. He doesn't want to trouble Latvia anymore; he's been distressing people around him enough today.]
I-if you were doing something else before you ran into me, you don't have to stay. I know it's... Annoying. That I can't remember anything.
no subject
[He really didn't mean to say it like that, it just slipped out]

I hope you'll be okay.
[Even though he seems more okay with the situation his shaking has worsened. Taking a few steps back he eventually runs off, only casting a fleeting glance in Lithuania's direction]
