[Action | The Dark Carnival]

[Mysterious radio messages? The town is obviously up to something, AND pops up a creepy carnival right in town?

Not in this town. NOT THIS TIME. The people have had enough. They cry out for a hero...a stalwart defender of humanity who WILL NOT REST until all are safe and sound. A competent hero, a hero able to slay the evils all around them.

........

Unfortunately, they get this.

In the new carnival, at one of the points when the Ferris wheel has stopped, a strange figure appears at the top. Her entrance is marked by a flurry of bright sparkles, all star and moon shaped, flying from her person. Then...the intro starts, in case you may have forgotten who she is.]

Listen well, town of Mayfield!

You will never have to fear anything again, for the Champion of the Moon has appeared!

I'll Marble Phantasm your hearts again! Beware those evildoers who wish harm upon humanity!

The Mysterious White Beauty of the Moon will punish you!! I am...

PHANTASMOON!!

[After making her intro, though, the Ferris wheel starts up once again. Arcueid wobbles, trying to keep her footing, and falls off the back, disappearing behind the Ferris wheel. Someone might want to go check on her.]

[Though, AFTER SHE RECOVERS FROM HER FALL, Arcu- er...Phantasmoon will be patrolling this creepy carnival, looking for anything SUSPICIOUS.

Don't mind that she might stop to play a few games or whatever, she has to test them to make sure they are safe.]

[Option A]

[Phantasmoon hit the ground behind that ferris wheel HARD. She's sitting on the ground, looking as if she's pouting. She seems perfectly fine, only her pride is wounded at this point. Still, if you wanted to check on the crazy woman who fell off the ferris wheel, this is your chance.]

[Option B]

[Phantasmoon has cornered you for investigation! You will be interrogated to determine your credibility in being a simple victim, or a possible evildoer! Don't be fooled by how silly that wand looks, it is a powerful weapon!]

[Option C]

[YOU ARE UNDER ATTACK! Attack by sparkles that...really don't do anything but look pretty. Still, you have been singled out as a possible evildoer, and you must be neutralized! PREPARE FOR BATTLE!]

[Option D]

[You have caught PHANTASMOON playing carnival games! Just what is a heroine of justice doing slacking off like this??]

[Option E]

[Phantasmoon may have left the carnival and gone to patrolling the town, but you are still not safe from her interrogations or house-checks! She's either stopping you on the street to ask some questions, or possibly even knocking on your door for a surprise inspection!]

[Why, yes, Hajime probably does look rather suspicious with the way he's been skulking around the carnival in his trenchcoat staring at things. He's giving her a look that suggests she should stop right this instant because what is this he doesn't even.]

That is not a good idea.

[Really, he just means that as kind of a general warning against the town in general, but given the look on his face and the tone of voice he's using, thinking he's hostile would be entirely possible.]

[Oh wow she actually found a REAL bad guy? TIME TO GET IT ON!]

Vile evildoer, your suspicious actions have been detected by Phantasmoon! Give up now, and perhaps you will not be hurt!

[She points that rod his way, striking a magical girl pose!]

[Oh, good grief.]

You should...really just stop before you get hurt.

[He is very bad at not sounding threatening. So bad at it.]

[Arcueid laughs, a rather over-the-top sort of thing.]

A bad guy, hurt ME? Impossible for PHANTASMOON!

[From that staff comes a SHOWER OF SPARKLES. Though, they have no physical presence, it's only an illusion. They ARE shaped like moons and sparkles, though.]

Phantasmoon sparkle cannon!

[He's just standing there twitching slightly and looking irritated as the "attack" hits and does absolutely nothing.]

Okay, you're...really going to tick off the wrong person.

[She's coming close, actually.]

I don't think you can use that toy responsibly.

[So, he'll be moving quickly now, trying to grab that staff out of her hand. He's a Kamen Rider, so he's pretty good with hand-to-hand combat and things of this nature.]

[Unfortunately for the Kamen Rider, the blonde isn't quite as silly as she looks. With all the reflexes of a True Ancestor, she gracefully moves to the side, spinning in a flurry of sparkles.

Oh, wait she wasn't paying attention to the wand. Enjoy your prize there, buddy...until this turns stupid. ~~It wasn't already?~~]

Hey, that was pretty good. But do you know the penalty for taking the "Wand of the White Princess?"

[Yea, she seems to still be totally into this persona, despite snatching her wand.]

[Oh, hey, he got it...and is now wondering what he's going to do with it. He was hoping that if he succeeded in getting it away, she'd stop this, but no...]

I'm not worried about any penalty.

[Arcueid just grins, and snaps her fingers.

The wand then bursts into bright sparkles. The sparkles are still nothing but an illusion, but they begin sticking to the surface of his clothing. Good luck getting those off for a bit.]

Hahahaha! You are now marked by Phantasmoon!!

[Wait, what...no. NO. Hajime is scowling deeply and trying to brush the sparkles off, but...it's not working. Like he's rolled in glue and then rolled in annoying sparkles.]

Are you done now?

[He sounds rather ticked off for some reason as he continues trying to brush himself off.]

I will never be done until justice is served!

Now, I'll release you of the mark of Phantasmoon if you cooperate!

[He rolls his eyes. His patience is starting to wear very thin, but he wants these stupid sparkles gone. He's still trying to shake them.]

Fine.

[Really, anything to make it stop at this point. If she wanted to see how villainous he could get, she was really starting to ask for it...]

What do you think you're doing in such a suspicious place, looking so suspicious?

[He just kind of stares.]

I'm trying to get to the bottom of whatever the town is up to.

[The second part? He's just going to have to make stuff up.]

If I look suspicious, well, that's to let the town know I'm onto them.

Neither of those is really going to do anything, you know. How long have you been in Mayfield?

[Well, it's not like he thought the second option was actually particularly useful, anyway. He'll just continue trying to remove those sparkles as they talk, for he is stubborn that way.]

Since March. I've seen a few things.

[Arcueid laughs a little bit.]

Then that's probably why you're still trying. Okay, maybe you're not so suspicious, but you should probably change that grumpy attitude!

[Arcueid shakes her finger at him, making sure he sees it to emphasize her point.]

[Oh, laughter at his expense really helps his mood, which has already been worn thin by this whole affair. He's still trying to brush those sparkles off.]

I'll take that into consideration.

[The finger has been duly noted with an arched eyebrow, but...good luck getting a smile out of this man.]

[Arcueid grins, and snaps her fingers once again. The sparkles burst from the young man's clothes.]

Be warned, grumpy one, that should your activities turn villainous, Phantasmoon will be here to stop you!

[With a sparkle-filled wink, Arcueid turns and disappears into the carnival rather quickly.]

[Well, at least the sparkles are gone. Hajime just sort of stands there and twitches for a moment, quickly makes sure that he is indeed sparkle-free, and hurries off in the opposite direction.]
