Fourth Diabolic
[A. 1334 Benny Road - Action]
[Hayate received her box with some trepidation. After the boxing glove that left her lip split and broken and the bee stings, she was wary of any more presents. However upon opening it, she found a card with a picture of a small shining object, one that she recognized as her linker core.
There was a jolt and she felt life surge through her body as the warm, comforting feeling of her full power was swimming in her body. Anyone passing by who was sensitive to magic -- within 4 blocks of the house even -- can feel the tremendous surge of SS rank magic blasting through Hayate before subsiding.]
Whoof, that was a rush! I wonder if getting back regains feels that nice?
[B. Phone to Nanoha cast]
Faaaaaatttteeee~ Vivio~ Ein-chan, Arf~, I got my magic back! Sadly my limiter didn't come with it so lemme know if space-time's being warped and I'll try and reign it in. Okay?
[C. Phone to Bazett]
Baz, I got my magic back just fyi. You probably coulda felt that surge coming from my house. Just wanted ta letcha know.
[D. Ordinary Shopping Time - Anywhere]
[Once Hayate was done all of her calls, she had decided to go out for shopping. Vita went through hot milk like a fiend every morning and they were always running low. So she's out with a bag of groceries from any direction or point, humming to herself. As usual, anyone who is magic sensitive can probably feel Hayate coming from a block away.]

Re: C
Re: C
[Her tone becomes more serious.]
But Commander, I believe that it will be our duty to try to protect the innocents in this town as well as any magi who might need our aid. In addition, you should watch out for the people at the Church. They seem to regard themselves as a faction, and even if I am technically allied with them, they do not like the idea of any magi interfering with their territory.
Re: C
Re: C
[She hesitates before adding the last point.]
And a pear shaped figure. She is usually nice and helpful, and she lives on the same street as me. As for Merem, he is rather short and has chin-length black hair. His personality is...rather odd, so I would suggest that you steer clear of him.
I am already part of the Resistance and the Defense Force. You can ask around for Olivier Armstrong or Caesar Silverberg. They have a rather lax admission standard. The Resistance is more for fighting against Mayfield's scheme and the Defense Force is more for teaching people to defend themselves. You can come in either as a teacher or a student.
Re: C
I'll make a note of that. You've got more interaction with the people here than I do, and I've already given the town the impression I'm a flirty, somewhat brainless housewife due to my trolling of Touma-kun.
Re: C
[She falls silent for a few seconds when she hears the second part of that sentence.]
C-commander? Why...?
Re: C
[She giggled at that.] Why else? What's more threatening: a woman with SS class magical power that can easily turn cities into rubble, or a brainless housefrau that'll like to flirt with anything? Misdirection my dear Baz. But don't worry, I only do it for fun. Riot 6, when I ran it was known unofficially as "Hayate's Extended Harem" since I had everyone's measurements.
This is a doozy
...Commander, you are a terrifying woman.
[She means this as a compliment.]
Well, then to my knowledge, there is a mage named Rin Tohsaka. I believe I have already told you about her when we were children. Besides her Servant, she specializes in magic that involves prana stored in her jewels. The other Master I mentioned, Hakuno Kishinami, seems to have no magic. Then there are three Sabers: King Arthur and two others. I am not sure if any of them are still around. One of the Sabers...a woman who resembles King Arthur except for her...measurements, is Kishinami's Servant. I am not sure who Arthur's Master is. The last Saber is a man and currently has his powers removed. Perhaps he got them back during this last event. Other Servants roaming around are the King of Heroes Gilgamesh and the King of Conquerors, Alexander the Great, as Archer and Rider respectively, as well as a female Rider of unknown identity who is allied with Tohsaka. As for magi from my world, there is a woman named Aozaki Touko. I believe that she is pretty strong and is best left unprovoked. Next is Emiya Kiritsugu, a Magus Killer, and his assistant Sarah Smith. Emiya uses bullets and a gun as a Mystic Code. They seem to be possible of overloading a magus' circuits upon contact. Sarah Smith...I do not know her powers, but she seems deadly with human firearms.
[Bazett had found that out the hard way.]
Another Association member is Sion Eltnam Atlasia. Unlike me, she is an alchemist and not an Enforcer. Since she works for the organization called Atlas, her alchemy usually takes place on a bigger scale than simple alchemy that involves transmutaion of chemical elements.
As for magi from other worlds, there is a child named Code:Emperor. I do not know what his powers are, but they seem to be very strong. There is also a girl named Marisa Kirisame who lives with Ciel. She is a powerful practitioner of what she refers to as magecraft. Unfortunately, my first meeting with her did not go smoothly and she has now warded me from her house. She also has a lover, but I do not know the girl's name or powers--only that she does magic. Then there is a woman called Oichi. While she seems to be a gentle, sad woman most of the time, she is mentally unstable and can summon strong hands from her shadow. Her Servant used to be a nasty piece of filth named Caster, but he has been droned as of now. As for more friendly magi, there are Balin Wilbur, Granny Weatherwax, Raven, and a boy whose name I do not know. Balin Wilbur practices runic magic like I do, but he has a greater range. Weatherwax is another practitioner of what she calls witchcraft, but seems to be general magecraft. Raven is a superhero, but I do not know what form of magic she practices. I also know little about the nameless body besides that he practices magic. In addition, there are other magical girls here. Mami Tomoe and Homura. Mami's power is projecting any amount of rifles. I believe her to be friendly. Homura's power is unknown, but she is apparently allied with Mami. Also, Tohsaka might or might not have the powers of a Magical Girl depending on whether or not she has her Kaleidostick.
As for non-magi who can also be potentially dangerous, there was a crow monster flying around a while ago. It spat fireballs. And there is the giant transforming robot alien, Sideswipe, but I belive him to be an ally of humanity. Then there is a vampire called Remilia Scarlet. She seems harmless, but is powerful and enjoys "playing" with others. Another girl, Haruhi Suzumiya, warps reality. She runs the SOS Brigade, a group supposedly concerned with gathering information on Mayfield, but seems more focused toward playing games and...giving out random penalties for losing. A little boy named Little Slugger also seems to be a magus or at least an Esper. So far, I know he has some sort of empathy skills. The strongest one is probably a True Ancestor, a nature spirit, named Arcueid Brunestud.
Have you gotten all the names down, Commander?
Re: This is a doozy
You've networked quite a bit of people here. I'll have to make due with looking in on some of my friends then and see what kind of things we're working with when it comes down to it. I think for the time being, "general aid" would be a good stance to take. However don't be too pushy about it, cause people are naturally squirrely with their magical prowess unless they're completely and obviously boastful about it.
Re: This is a doozy
Um...in addition to those people, there are some other magi that I forgot to mention. One is Theo Crawford. His specialty seems to be crow familiars, though he is skilled with other spells. However, he is physically weak. While he has a bad temper and might have a tendency to cast spells while drunk, I believe him to be friendly. Then there is an apprentice magus named Yuna. Her power apparently comes from a card and she is limited to only one attack spell in the form of flaming arrows. Her teacher seems to be a genius child mage, but I do not know the details about him yet.
[She is silent after she hear's Hayate's recommendations. Ciel...had said something quite similar. She really was going to have to learn more subtlety.]
I understand, Commander.
Re: This is a doozy
But yes, try not to be too pushy about these things. It can backfire even with good intentions, since it would feel like you were moving in on territory. Diplomacy after all is a nice way to mitigate damage. Oh, and bringing a good home-cooked meal too helps as well.
[Hayate often started her negotiations with tea and cookies after all.]
Re: This is a doozy
[She has never heard of that being used in negotiations before.]
Re: This is a doozy
Re: This is a doozy
[For the first time since she came here, she feels self-conscious. Her words, her appearance, her posture...how much of it had unintentionally intimidated others?]
Re: This is a doozy
Re: This is a doozy
[She is taking notes as they speak.]
Do you have any other advice for me?
Re: This is a doozy
Re: This is a doozy
[It seems this negotiating business was extremely difficult...]
Thank you, Commander.
Re: This is a doozy
Re: This is a doozy
[With that, she hangs up the phone. The next several minutes are spent observing her posture and dress in the mirror and trying to find out how to make herself look friendlier, followed by trying to brainstorm ways to make her words seem less blunt.]
