1st book: The Famillarization of the Unfamiliar and the Formerly Familiar
Action A: 1247 Williams Road; locked to housemates
(For those who've been in this particular home for a while, you may have noticed a lavender unicorn droned into acting like a cat. Not only is she now fully conscious and aware of her actions, but she's now walking through the house as though she's seen it all before. She has memories of her previous adventures in Mayfield, but they're fuzzy at the moment. It might take her a moment to remember you, but it could happen! Maybe.)
Action B: Around or inside the library
(Part of her Mayfield memories have started returning and while she remembers the collection at the library being...less than preferable, it's where she's most likely to figure things out. Anyone who wants to help jog her memory or say hi is welcome to do so~)

[Emmett looks at Twilight with interest with both her and her statement]
Schrodinger's cat? [Sorry Twilight Emmett has another four years till that happens]

(Then here's some help catching up!)
It was a thought experiment that dealt with quantum mechanics and a subject's state of being before observation. In this case, Dr. Erwin Schrodinger placed his cat in a box alongside a contraption that would kill the cat, but with no definite schedule for the device to go off. Until actual observation was done, the cat very well could have been alive, dead, or simultaneously alive and dead. It's a bit too cruel an experiment for my preferences, but it's still fascinating.
sorry sorry sorry
Huh? Sorry, did you say something?
[Emmett's eyes light up at Dr. Erwin Schrodinger. So, it was the Schrodinger he knew]
Quite fasinating.
No worries!
(Twilight's been there before; a thought will pop into her head and it'll take precedence.)
And it provides ideas for other interpretations of Mayfield and its state of being. Out of curiosity, what was your approach to this problem? I'd love to hear your theory.
thank you :3
However, you where the final piece that brought all of this together.

I'm sure this place has many more riddles that need to be cracked, so I'm sure we'll be able to keep our minds busy with them!

Emmett Brown, Miss -?

Mayfield sure has a lot to it, but at least we're presented with options. And if we're lucky, working on multiple riddles at once can help them all get closer to being solved.

Luck has nothing to do with it. Did Thomas Edison rely on luck for inventing the light bulb? Just hours and hours of trial and error and research.
But you're right, why shouldn't all of these add up in the end? Considering that they all should logically becoming from a single from source within the city. [Magic or not]
[Pause] I'd love to continue our disccusion but I'm not so sure that's a good idea safe out in the open and prying ears of the drones.
no subject
The drones? Well...I won't rule out that possibility. Where would you like to continue our discussion?

wants me to keep on guard, she's only telling me what's best for me and talking about this sort of thing in such a public manner may be too revealing.
[Though he was having mixed feelings, after all everyone has good in them, right?] [Pause, and lowers to a whisper]
Besides, since mother said was true on how the books change depending on our age trying to keep us inside the box... [Emmett expresses a bit of terrified look, just with the words 'inside the box' he couldn't help wonder if there where consequences for researching or nosey too obvoiusly. Then pauses to consider where]
...The lab would be the best, we still have a drone of a father.
no subject
Alright, the lab it is!
you want to log?
[By which Emmett meant Judge Brown and Judge Brown's dislike of out of box thinking]
Sure!
But as we said, this isn't the place to speak of such things. Shall we head off, then?
\o
[Emmett nods] Follow me. [Completey being a scatter brain and having forgot to put a few books back on the shelf]
